Grandhosting also runs every site on its own, with a private test copy and nightly backups, from €3.49 + VAT a month, billed by the server usage a site needs rather than its visits.

Questions

How much cheaper is Grandhosting than Kinsta?

Kinsta's entry plan is $35 a month ($30 billed yearly) plus tax, for up to 35,000 visits. Our Micro starts at €3.49 + VAT and Standard, which gets extra power by itself when busy, at €5.99 + VAT, and a busy site pays for the extra server usage it needs. For most small and medium sites the difference is large; for very high traffic, compare the two on your real numbers.

What happens when my site gets more visits than planned?

On Kinsta, visits over your plan are billed at $0.50 per 1,000, and Kinsta may charge early when overages reach the plan price. With us there is no visit allowance: on Standard the site gets extra power by itself for the busy period and you pay for the server usage, with a monthly spending limit if you want one: usage never bills beyond it (your plan's monthly minimum always applies).

Can I keep my data in the EU with either host?

Yes. Kinsta lets you pick an EU data centre such as Frankfurt or Amsterdam. With us there is nothing to pick: sites, databases and backups all stay in the EU, hosted mainly in Germany.
