Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Grandhosting. We’ve written these terms to be clear and fair — because trust starts with transparency.
Last updated: June 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Grandhosting platform (“Service”), operated at grandhosting.gr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service. We recommend reading them carefully before creating an account.
2. Description of Service
Grandhosting provides managed WordPress hosting on our platform infrastructure. Each website runs in an isolated environment with dedicated resources, automatic scaling, and daily backups. Our infrastructure is hosted exclusively within the European Union — primarily in Germany, with redundancy in other EU locations such as Finland.
The Service includes:
- Isolated WordPress hosting with auto-scaling (automatically per site)
- Managed server infrastructure, security updates, and monitoring
- Daily automated backups with 30-day retention
- Media delivery via Grandhosting CDN
- SSL/TLS certificates via Let’s Encrypt
- A web-based dashboard for site management, billing, and analytics
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to:
- Provide truthful, current, and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with third parties
- Notify us immediately at support@grandhosting.gr if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account, whether or not authorized by you
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Grandhosting is designed for hosting legitimate WordPress websites and web applications.
4.1 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Service for any of the following:
- Malware and malicious software — Hosting, distributing, or linking to viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code
- Spam and unsolicited communications — Sending bulk unsolicited emails, operating spam networks, or hosting content that facilitates spamming
- Illegal content — Hosting content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorist or violent extremist content, content that infringes intellectual property rights, incites violence or hatred, or otherwise facilitates illegal activities
- Resource abuse — Intentionally consuming excessive CPU, memory, network, or storage resources beyond what your workload legitimately requires, including DDoS amplification or participation in botnets
- Cryptocurrency mining — Running cryptocurrency miners, blockchain nodes, or similar computational workloads
- Phishing and fraud — Hosting phishing pages, scam websites, or content designed to deceive users into revealing personal information
- Proxy and anonymization services — Operating open proxies, VPN exit nodes, or anonymization services without prior written approval
4.2 Enforcement
We monitor for violations through automated malware scanning and resource abuse detection. If we identify a violation, we may suspend the offending website immediately and notify you by email. Repeated or severe violations may result in account termination without refund.
4.3 Reporting Illegal Content (Notice & Action)
Anyone can report illegal content hosted on our platform using our report form or by emailing abuse@grandhosting.gr. Please include the exact URL(s), a description of the content, and the reasons you believe it is illegal. We acknowledge reports, assess them diligently, and act on illegal content without undue delay, in line with the EU Digital Services Act. This is also our point of contact for users and authorities on illegal-content matters.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that threatens the life or safety of a person are removed immediately upon awareness and reported to the competent law enforcement authorities.
5. Service Level Agreement
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the hosting infrastructure, excluding scheduled maintenance windows. Uptime is measured as the availability of your website to respond to HTTP requests.
This target excludes:
- Scheduled maintenance, which we announce at least 24 hours in advance when possible
- Issues caused by your website’s code, plugins, or configuration
- DNS propagation delays outside our control
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, widespread internet outages, etc.)
If we fail to meet the 99.9% uptime target in a given calendar month, you may request a service credit by contacting support@grandhosting.gr within 30 days. Credits are applied to your wallet balance and do not exceed the amount charged during the affected period.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Pay-As-You-Go Billing
Grandhosting uses a wallet-based, pay-as-you-go billing model. You pre-load funds into your account wallet, and hosting costs are deducted based on actual resource usage (CPU, memory, storage). There are no long-term contracts or commitments.
6.2 Auto-Recharge
You may enable auto-recharge, which automatically tops up your wallet via your saved payment method (processed by Viva Payments) when your balance falls below a threshold you define.
6.3 Pricing Transparency
Current pricing is displayed in the dashboard and on our pricing page. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any pricing changes take effect. All prices are in Euros and include applicable taxes as required by EU law.
6.4 Insufficient Balance
If your wallet balance falls to or below the minimum threshold and auto-recharge fails or is not enabled, we will send reminder emails over a 3-day grace period. After 72 hours, active websites on your account may be suspended until your balance is replenished.
6.5 Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving any reason. To exercise it, send us a clear statement before the period expires — by email to legal@grandhosting.gr, using the withdrawal option in your dashboard, or via our withdrawal form.
Because hosting is a service, if you ask us to begin providing it during the 14-day period you agree that: (a) you may be charged, on a pro-rata basis, only for the service actually provided up to the moment you withdraw; and (b) you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed at your request. No charge applies during the free development period. We refund any amounts due within 14 days of receiving your notice, using your original payment method.
What you are refunded depends on the product, because some are supplied immediately or bought in from third parties on your behalf. When you ask us to start, the following applies:
- Website hosting — refundable pro-rata for unused time, if activated at your request.
- Email hosting — billed monthly with a one-month minimum. If you withdraw, you are charged for the current month and the service will not renew.
- Domain names — registered immediately with the registry at your request and cannot be refunded. Your right of withdrawal no longer applies to a domain once it has been registered.
- Wallet balance — any unspent wallet balance is refundable.
We ask you to confirm each of these at the point of purchase before the service starts.
6.6 Wallet & Refunds
Wallet funds are prepaid and may be used only for Grandhosting services. They are non-transferable, cannot be used to pay third parties, and do not expire while your account is active.
All payments are prepaid and, in general, non-refundable due to the usage-based nature of our service. However, we make exceptions in certain cases:
- if a payment was made by mistake; or
- if the payment was made within one month of account creation and the balance has not been used.
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, contact us at billing@grandhosting.gr and we will review your request, evaluating special situations case by case. Credits already consumed (services already delivered) and any promotional or bonus credit are non-refundable. If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, contact us within 30 days and we will review your case.
Nothing in this section limits the statutory right of withdrawal or other rights you have as a consumer under applicable law (see Section 6.5).
7. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content, data, and intellectual property that you upload to or create on the Service. Grandhosting does not claim any ownership rights over your website files, databases, media, or any other data.
We will not access, view, or modify your website content except:
- When required to provide the Service (e.g., automated backups, malware scanning)
- When you explicitly request our assistance
- When required by law or valid legal process
8. Intellectual Property
The Grandhosting platform, including its dashboard, APIs, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Grandhosting. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.
WordPress itself is open-source software licensed under the GPL. Your use of WordPress is subject to the GPL license terms. The custom mu-plugins provided by Grandhosting as part of the Service are licensed for use on the platform only.
9. Backups and Data Recovery
We perform daily automated backups of your website files and database, retained for 30 days. Backups are stored on secure EU storage within the EU.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure backup integrity, we recommend that you maintain your own independent backups. Grandhosting is not liable for data loss resulting from backup failures, corrupted backups, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Backup restoration is available through the dashboard or by contacting support.
10. Termination
10.1 By You
You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard. There are no cancellation fees, no lock-in periods, and no penalty for leaving.
10.2 Data Export
Upon cancellation, your website data (files and database) remains available for export for 30 days. After this period, all data is permanently deleted from our systems, including backups.
10.3 By Grandhosting
We may terminate or suspend your account if:
- You materially breach these Terms and fail to remedy the breach within a reasonable period after notice
- Your account is used for prohibited activities as described in Section 4
- Your account remains inactive with zero balance for more than 90 days
- We are required to do so by law
In all cases except violations of Section 4, we will provide reasonable notice before termination.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Grandhosting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Grandhosting in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Grandhosting and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Content you host on the platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
13. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you may close your account before they take effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
As a company operating within the European Union, we comply with all applicable EU regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For data protection matters, please refer to our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
